{column1}Taas on vierähtänyt tovi… Mutta Nooa kävi pitkästä aikaa leikkimässä. Ja toi kaksi neitokaista mukanaan! Kun vielä naapurin Ruska uskaltautui mukaan, pihalla olikin aika vilske.{/column1}{column2}It’s been a while again… But Nooa came to play for the first time in a long while. Olisi kovasti hoitanut, mutta kun toinen meni karkuun…{/column1}{column2}Ida is just a small baby. Tiny, cute, sleepy puppy and tummy full of food. No way she dared to join the speed of the bigger ones! Pepe just loved this small girlie. He would’ve loved to take care of her, but she just kept escaping…{/column2}

{column1}Saanko esitellä: Nooa, Cavalier kingcharlesinspanieli. Nooa on Morttia pari kuukautta nuorempi ja asuu vastapäisessä talossa. Nooa tykkää tulla leikkimään Pepen ja Moriz kanssa - ja pojat tykkää kun Nooa tulee!{/column1}{column2}May I present to you: Nooa (yeah, as in Noah and the ark), Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Nooa is a couple months younger than Mortti and lives in the house across the street. Nooa likes to come and play with Pepe and Moriz - and the boys love it when Nooa comes!{/column2}

{column1}Kolmikko leikkii hienosti yhdessä - tosin tänään Pepen piti vähän kertoa Nooalle kuka oikeasti on pomo. Nooa ei siitä pannut pahakseen - kohteli vain Pepeä vähän kunnioittavammin.{/column1}{column2}The threesome plays very well together. {column1}Kevät on livahtanut jo pitkälle. Paljon on tapahtunut ja vähän olen siitä ehtinyt täällä kertomaan…{/column1}{column2}The spring has suddenly advanced a lot. And a lot has happened but so little I have written about here…{/column2}
{column1}Moriz kävi hammaslääkärissä, koska sillä oli kaikkia kulmahampaita kaksin kappalein. Lääkäriin menon ja operaation välissä yksi oli kuitenkin ehtinyt kadota jonnekin, kun ylimääräisiä lopulta poistettiin vain kolme - ja siinä sivussa pari poskihammasta jotka jo olivat yhtä kuin irti.
Mortin toipuessa nukutuksesta Pepe oli hyvin huolissaan kaverista ja ihmetteli, kun ei duracell leiki vaikka mitä tekisi. Seuraavana päivänä akut olivat taas paremmassa kuin täydessä terässä ja Pepe näytti toivovan Morizille uutta rauhoituspiikkiä… Hammasoperaatiosta siis selvittiin. Moriz toipui hyvin ja nautti kolmen päivän herkkuruokakuurista - vain pehmeää ruokaa tikkien takia - eikä edes huomannut menettäneensä mitään.{/column1}{column2}Moriz went to the dentist, because he had doubles for each canine tooth. Between going to the doctor and the operation itself one had disappeared somewhere, because the doc eventually only removed three of them - alont with two molar teeth that were as good as gone already.
While Mortti was recovering from the anaesthesia Pepe was very concerned over his buddy and wondered why the duracell won’t play no matter what he tried. The next day his batteries were charged again - more than full - and Pepe seemed to wish that someone gave him another dose of sedative… So we survived the tooth operation. Moriz recovered very well and enjoyed his three days of delicacy diet - only soft food was allowed because of the stiches - and he didn’t even notice having lost something.{/column2}
{column1}Sitten Pepe alkoi pärskiä. Sillä oli niin kova nuha, että öisin se ei saanut nukuttua. Välillä se aivasti niin että iso räkäkupla pursusi nenästä ja usein sen piti hengittää suun kautta kun ei nenästä kulkenut mitään. Yritettiin höyryhengittää vedenkeittimen päällä ja kuumassa suihkussakin, mutta eipä siitä juuri apua ollut. Päivät se kulki häntä roikkuen ja korvat lurpallaan. Sitten alkoi yskä! Voi koira parka.
Käytiin lääkärissä ja tuomio oli, että todennäköisesti kennelyskä - paranee itsestään parissa viikossa. Yskänlääkettä voi antaa. Annettiin sinä iltana ohjeen mukaan - Pepe reagoi kuin Aku Ankka chilipippurin syötyään! Pepe päätti varmaan ihan sen kokemuksen takia parantua juuri tasan sillä hetkellä!
Moriz ei onneksi saanut tartuntaa - yhtenä päivänä vähän pärski tavallista enemmän, mutta se oli siinä. Olinpa iloinen kun Pepe taas iltaisin kömpi sänkyyn ja minäkin sain nukkua viikon valvottujen öiden jälkeen!{/column1}{column2}Then Pepe started sneezing. He had such a horrible head cold that he couldn’t sleep at nights. Sometimes when he sneezed a big bubble of snot came out of his nose - and often he had to breathe through his mouth because nothing went through his nose. We tried breathing steam over a water cooker as well as in hot shower, but that didn’t really help at all. All day he went around with his tail ears down. And then he started the coughing! Oh that poor dog.
We went to the vet again. The verdict was that it was probably kennel cough - and that would go away in a couple of weeks. The vet said I could give Pepe cough medicine. We did that night, according to the instructions - and Pepe reacted the same way as Donald Duck does when he eats hot chili pepper! I’m sure that awful experience made him decide to get well again right that moment!
Luckily Moriz didn’t catch it. One day he was sneezing a bit more than usually, but that was it. Boy was I happy when Pepe crawled into bed again in the evenings and I got to actually sleep after staying up for a week!{/column2}
{column1}Helmikuussa Mortin isoveli Tälli vietti muutaman päivän Mummulassa. Silloin Pepelandian porukalla oli huisin hauskaa ja Tälli oli kuin kotonaan poikien kanssa. Nuo(kin) kuvat on edelleen postaamatta - mutta siirrytään tähän päivään.
Eilen Tälli kävi taas kylässä. Kun se tuli ovesta sisään Pepe otti vähän varautuneen ilmeen, mutta Moriz oli ihan selvästi riemuissaan. Ulkona pojilla riitti vauhtia…
Ensin yritettiin hihnassa.{/column1}{column2}In February Mortti’s big brother Tälli spent a few days at Granny’s. Pepelandia’s gang had a blast with him and Tälli seemed to feel like at home with the boys. Those photos (too) are still unposted - but let’s hop into today.
Yesterday Tälli came over again. When he entered the door, Pepe became a bit reserved, but Moriz was obviously thrilled. And outside they sure hit the gas pedal…

Morizin veli Tälli tuli tänään kaupunkiin. Se viettää muutaman päivän täysihoidossa “mummulassa” kun kotiväki lähti reissuun. Tästä varmasti lisää myöhemmin! Päivän oikea uutinen sen sijaan on, että Pepe viettää tänään jo 2-vuotissyntymäpäiviään! Tässä ihan tuore, tämänpäiväinen kuva päivänsankarista.
Moriz’ brother Tälli came to town today. He’ll spend the following days in “board and lodging” at “grandmom’s”, because he’s own people are travelling. I’m sure I’ll post more of this later! But todays real piece of news is that it’s already Pepe’s second birthday! Here’s a fresh photo of the birthday boy, taken this afternoon.

Moriz menetti ensimmäisen hampaansa ystävänpäivänä. Aamulla yksi alaetuhampaista oli ihan vinksin vonksin ja illalla se oli hävinnyt. Toinen heiluu jo.
Pissillä käydessä koipi on alkanut nousta. Tosin ei aina, ja joskus hätä on niin pitkä ettei jalkaa millään jaksa kannatella koko aikaa.
Ulkona käydessä täytyy välillä ottaa yksi poika kerrallaan syliin, kun muuten ei pissimisestä tule mitään. Moriz on koko ajan kuin herhiläinen Pepen kimpussa eikä malta tehdä asioitaan. Pepe taas ei voi hoitaa omia asioitaan, kun toinen roikkuu koko ajan poskinahassa silmät muljahdellen. Ja sitten ne asiat tulevat sisälle…
Mortilta puuttuu kunnianhimo pyrkiä ylöspäin. Se ei edelleenkään hyppää sohvalle vaan kiipeää sinne jonkun rappusen kautta. Tähän asti se on nukkunut omassa laatikossaan vaikka Pepe nukkuu sängyssä. Toissailtana laitoin jakkaran sängyn viereen ja puolessa sekunnissa Mortti oli sängyssä. Pepe ei hievahtanutkaan äiskän kainalosta koko yönä - piti kai vartioida ettei kakara varasta paikkaa. Ja kerran piti pennulle vähän ärähtää kun se tuli liian lähelle. Moriz sen sijaan nautti koko rahan edestä!
Eilen istuin tietokoneellani ja ihmettelin mitä rapinaa kuuluu hyllyn ja ikkunan välistä. Hetken kuluttua Moriz ilmaantui näkyviin - se oli kiivennyt sänkyyn, siitä ikkunalaudalle ja ihmetteli nyt kuinka pääsisi alas!

Moriz lost his first tooth on the Valentine’s day. In the morning one of the lower front teeth was all crooked and in the evening it was gone. Another one is loose already.
When peeing Moriz has started to lift his leg. Although not always, and sometimes the business takes so long that he finds it overwhelming to keep his leg up the entire time. When going out, I sometimes need to hold one boy at a time, because it’s the only way to make the peeing happen: Moriz keeps chasing Pepe and forgets the main issue. Pepe on the other hand can’t do his buisness, because the kid constantly hangs from his cheek. And then the business happens inside…
Mortti lacks the ambition to strive upwards. He still doesn’t jump up to the sofa but climbs there via a step of sorts. Until now he’s been sleeping the nights in his own box even though Pepe sleeps in bed. Two nights ago I set a stool next to the bed and in half a second Moriz was in bed. Pepe didn’t budge from mom’s underarm - I guess he had to make sure the kid didn’t steel his spot. And once he needed to snarl at the pup because he came too close. Moriz on the other hand took the money and enjoyed it!
Yesterday I was sitting at my computer and heard a weird sound between the window and the bookshelf. Then Moriz showed up - he had climbed to the bed, continued to the window sill and was now wondering how to get down!
Helmikuu alkoi lumisateella. On hämmästyttävää kuinka Pepekin, joka inhoaa kylmää ja märkää, kuitenkin tykkää leikkiä lumessa.
February started with falling snow. It’s amazing how even Pepe, who hates when it’s cold and wet, still loves to play in the snow.
